About 27 years ago I was sitting in a bar and Gene came in, sat with me, and we began to talk. I ordered Gene a ginger ale and myself a beer. We chatted for about two hours about all kinds of topics. Then Gene had to leave and on the way out said, see ya later my friend. I thought to myself wow I am friends with Gene, this is so cool.

I never did see Gene Wilder again.
