Kris Kristofferson (Wogan, 1987)

Kris Kristofferson has died, aged 88. In 1987, he appeared on Wogan alongside Johnny Cash and covered everything from being a Rhodes scholar to landing a helicopter on Cash's lawn, while also treating us to a few bars of one of his biggest hits.

Kris Kristofferson whispers "Don't let the bastards get you down" when Sinéad O'Connor when booed from the stage in 1992 during a Bob Dylan tribute. She played Bob Marley's "War" instead of the scheduled song to protest church child abuse.
